As part of my college education, I studied subjects such as Biochemistry, Industrial Biotechnology, Food Biotechnology, and others. I have hands on experience inside the Laboratory starting from my freshman year.
Work & Experience
As a Laboratory Analyst - Microbiology, my work includes the testing of finished goods and raw materials of the department I am assigned to. I also do water testing. I record results on Nexus, and help in investigating microbial growths on materials or goods should they be present.
As a Laboratory Intern, part of my job was to prepare E. coli cells for the lab's tests. The said E. coli cells would be inserted with another gene after opening them up using heat insertion. I documented results and also thought other interns the processes we did in the lab.
As a Project Staff, I inoculated chicken eggs with the influenza virus. The said chicken eggs were then manipulated using a resonance device to kill the influenza virus. I kept documents of the experiments and ensured that the chicken eggs were always kept in good conditions.
